As i write this, i re-call all the instances and scenarios i have experienced which revolve around the hypocritical nature of people. The more i think about it, the more i realize that it is almost human nature to be a hypocrite. We witness it everyday. For example, politicians. If a politician isn't the biggest exhibit of a hypocrite, i don't know what is. It is their job to lie to your face. I won't mention any names (because i can't remember) but there was this one governor or mayor who was so anti gay marriage and cursed it to hell but Yet, he was having an affair with a man. That type of hypocrisy is on an "institutional level" and i don't care much for that because it's life. I want to focus more on the hypocrites we live and interact with everyday. It is AMAZING how many people say one thing today but do the complete opposite tomorrow. We're all guilty of being hypocrites once in a while but there are just some people who hypocrisy is like a way of life. Here are a few hypocritical things i really don't like:
1. One area of hypocrisy, which REALLY grinds my ears, is when people try to act holier than thou. People who say they read their bible everyday and go to church 3 times a week but fail to mention that they involve themselves in licentious (look it up :p) activity on the weekend. It sickens me to no end. People who go around quoting verses from the bible BUT do the opposite of what the bible says and are the FIRST person to point a finger and judge you when you do something they don't deem appropriate! get the f*ck outta here!
2. People who NEVER keep in touch but complain about other people who can't keep intouch. (guilty *ehem*). This is really annoying and such people deserved to get cursed out! lol
3. Men who say the following "i am not ready for a relationship. I am just living my life" and then two months later, they are engaged to be married. Can we all say insecure? don't know what he wants? annoying? more annoying? Men can be very hypocritical at times, but women are waaay worse!
4. people who say "I will never [insert action here]". I don't know if i can call this hypocritical because i said i would NEVER run track and ended up doing it for 3 years. Go figure. does this make me a hypocrite? Others are more drastic though. Like "i would never cheat on a significant other" and then all of a sudden, they are found eating up those words as they are on the bottom (or top) of their barrel of deceit/lies.
5. Gossips.
At the end of the day, we all indulge in some hypocrisy. As long as you don't go overboard, it should be somewhat OK.
